If you’re looking for things to do with kids in Marbella, look no further than Funny Beach! It is a great activity area on the eastern outskirts of Marbella with karting, water sports and fun activities.
The karting circuit is great fun for kids and adults and there are even two seater karts to allow kids as young as 3 to safely get involved. The little ones can drive while you operate the pedals and you have a steering wheel too so you can make sure you stay on the track. We can tell you from personal experience that this is a wonderful way to get children into driving and feel involved.
If you are a big family group (10 or more) with plenty of petrol heads, you can hire out the track for a championship tournament and choose from sessions of 30 minutes to an hour. They will do practice sessions, races and finals and can even do a prize giving! This needs to be booked in advance.
Alternatively, you can just pay by the race, choosing one, two or three races. Adult karting races are 8 minutes’ each, children from 6 to 12 can race in the children’s karts and their races are 5 minutes each. The kids’ races start from 8€ for one race and the adults’ races are 20€ each. There’s no need to book, you can just turn up and put your name down for the next session.
For watersports fans, Funny Beach is heaven, with an opportunity to wakeboard, paddlesurf, take a banana boat and ride a jet ski. For the really adventurous, you can take to the skies on a hoverboard or flyboard, or try surfing on the Wave X Ramp. If you prefer more relaxation, then hire a sunbed and perhaps a pedalo and enjoy a great day at the beach – there’s something for all members of the family.
There is an excellent restaurant there, which is well-known for their Argentinian BBQ and often has music and entertainment too. It’s highly recommended to grab a quick bite, or have a leisurely lunch while the kids have fun and it is very reasonably priced.
